Calligram™ offers benefits such as sharp embossed & debossed patterns on the same surface, in-mold printing for accuracy, grain & gloss consistency and wear resistance, unitary production, suitable for customization and limited series (1.5m²), an all-in-one process: ready for cut & sew or part wrapping, and integration of functions.

Additionally, this product is used primarily in the fabrication of luxury goods, vehicle interiors, yachting, and other applications where coated fabric can be applied. Westlake Global Compounds is currently in a distribution partnership with Griffine to facilitate the commercialization in Europe of Calligram™.

Luxury Goods

Calligram™ is an innovative coated fabric which can be used in the production of luxury goods such as handbags, wallets, shoes, and clothing.

This product offers unrivalled possibilities of decoration, including sharp embossed and/or debossed logos that can be accurately printed. It is possible to have part of the surface or even the full surface decorated in quadrichromy, or spot colors. Calligram™ is suitable for customization and limited series as it is made by an unitary process: all units could be different thanks to the flexibility of ink-jet printing.

Calligram™ can be made with a wide variety of synthetic fabrics like polyester or polyamide, but also natural fabrics such as cotton and even silk.

Vehicle Interiors

Calligram™ is an exclusive coated fabric that can be used in premium automotive interiors to provide a distinctive touch to the headrests, seating elements, armrests, door panels, or instrument panels.

This product offers unrivaled possibilities for decoration, including sharp embossed and debossed logos that can be accurately printed. Background colors are tinted in massen masse, and prints are made using our own inks color-matched to the customer's needs.

Calligram™ is suitable for functionalization. Surfaces that are backlit and matched with an embossed logo can be designed to offer a surprising look. In that case, our inkjet mold printing process ensures a very sharp definition of the backlit contour. Functional fabric, including heating or capacitive sensing, can also be used.

When a cushioning effect is required, Calligram™ can be made using spacer fabric or multilayers, including foam.

Marine

Calligram™ is an exclusive coated fabric that can be used both internally and externally on boats, yachts or vaigrage.

Our coatings are designed to be UV-, mildew-, abrasion-, and stain-resistant and comply with fire standards. They are suitable for all exterior and interior upholstery, seats, and benches, including sunbeds, bedding protectors, sports and entertainment equipment, as well as upholstery and fenders.
